Blackjack may be one of the most famous casino games of them
all.
The basic idea behind Blackjack is to get a hand closer to 21 than the hand of the
dealer without going over 21.
In Blackjack each card has a value according to the number of each
specific card, and picture cards have a value of
Ten while the ace is worth one or eleven.
Blackjack starts out by each player making his or her bet. After
this, two cards are given to the players. The dealer's first card
will be shown to all players, while the second card will be revealed
at the end of the game.
If a player takes to many cards and the hand value goes beyond the
magic number of twenty-one, the hand is abandoned. This action is
also known as a busted hand, but if a player gets an ace and a
picture card initially, he/she has a Blackjack and the player has
won. However, if the dealer gets Blackjack everybody else loses and
the dealer will get the player's bets.
The payout in Blackjack is made according to the bets placed by the
players. The winner gets the same amount that he or she has bet. If
the bet is doubled, he naturally wins double the amount.
A Blackjack player may withdraw from the game if he feels he does not have a winning hand, and therefore stands little chance of winning the game.
The game will come to an end, and the player will lose half of his bet. The discarded cards will be put back into the deck, which will be re-shuffled and the next round of cards will be dealt.
